This hands-on clinic is designed to help participants build clearer communication, better timing, and a stronger Liberty foundation with their horse. Over three days, Dan will work with each horse-and-handler pair in a focused clinic setting, helping participants understand the process behind connection, confidence, draw, and communication at Liberty.

Auditors are also welcome and will have the opportunity to watch the clinic from the sidelines, learning from each session as Dan works with different horses and participants throughout the weekend.

Your Participant Registration Includes:


Three Full Clinic Days with Dan James

Work directly with Dan in a focused, hands-on clinic setting designed to help you build clearer communication, better timing, and more confidence with your horse at Liberty.

Your Working Participant Spot

Your registration reserves your place as a working participant in the clinic. You’ll have the opportunity to work your horse during clinic sessions and receive guidance from Dan throughout the weekend.

Liberty Clinic Workbook

You’ll receive a Liberty Clinic Workbook to follow along during the clinic and take home as a practical resource for continued learning.

Covered Round Pen Facility

This clinic will be held outside in a covered round pen at Crystal Ridge Equine Facility, giving participants a dedicated space for hands-on Liberty work throughout the clinic.

Water Provided During the Clinic

Water will be available for participants during the clinic. Please plan to bring any additional drinks, snacks, or meals you may need, as food and drinks will not be available for purchase on-site.

Host Facility Access

Your registration includes access to the designated clinic areas at Crystal Ridge Equine Facility during clinic hours.

Clinic Registration Fee

Participant registration is $999. This includes Dan’s clinic fee and the host facility fee for the clinic. Stalls, RV sites, cabins, shavings, hay, and other amenities are reserved and paid directly through Crystal Ridge Equine Facility.



Facility Amenities, Stalls & Horse Health Requirements

Crystal Ridge Equine Facility will manage stall reservations, RV sites, cabins, shavings, hay, and any facility-related amenities directly. Double Dan Horsemanship will collect clinic registration payments only.

After you complete your clinic registration, you’ll receive a confirmation email with the contact information needed to reserve and pay for stalls or any available facility amenities.

Stall Reservations

Stalls are available through Crystal Ridge Equine Facility for clinic participants.

Overnight stalls with outdoor runs:
$25 per night
Limited availability

Outdoor runs with shelter:
$15 per night
Limited availability

Additional nights before or after the clinic are available at the same pricing and must be reserved directly through Crystal Ridge Equine Facility.

All stalls must have shavings. Participants may bring their own shavings or purchase shavings from the facility for $8 per bag. Participants are responsible for cleaning their own stalls during the clinic.

Hay will also be available for purchase at $9 per square bale.

RV Sites & Cabins

RV sites are available on-site for $21 per night plus tax. RV sites include electric and water hookups.

The RV park also includes access to a laundromat, shower house, and bathrooms.

Tiny cabins may also be available through Crystal Ridge Equine Facility.

Tiny cabin pricing:
Sunday–Thursday: $95 per night plus tax and cleaning fee
Friday–Saturday: $145 per night plus tax and cleaning fee
Linens are included.

Reserving Amenities

Once your clinic registration is complete, please contact Crystal Ridge Equine Facility directly to reserve and pay for stalls, RV sites, cabins, shavings, hay, or any other facility amenities.

Facility Rules

No animals are allowed on-site except the horse participating in the clinic.

Children must be supervised at all times.

Only registered clinic participants and auditors may attend.

Horse Health Requirements

To protect the health and safety of all horses attending the clinic, each participating horse must have the following documentation:

Required health documentation:

  • Current negative Coggins
  • Current health certificate

Please submit copies or photos of your horse’s required documentation with your clinic registration, or have them available for inspection upon arrival.

Horses must arrive in good health and may not show signs of contagious or infectious disease, including fever, nasal discharge, cough, diarrhea, unexplained lethargy, or known recent exposure to illness.

Crystal Ridge Equine Facility reserves the right to refuse entry to any horse that presents a health or biosecurity concern.



Daily Schedule Example


8:30 AMClinic Day 1 Check-In

Start the morning at the clinic meeting area for participant check-in. Please bring your horse’s required health paperwork if outstanding, then grab a fresh cup of coffee while everyone gets settled for the day.


9:00 AM*Clinic Welcome & Introduction

Dan will kick off the clinic by welcoming participants, outlining the plan for the day, and discussing the main goals everyone will be working toward throughout the clinic.


9:00 AM–12:00 PM *Morning Clinic Sessions

The morning sessions will begin after Dan’s welcome and introduction. Participants will work through the first part of the clinic with hands-on instruction, demonstrations, and individual coaching.


12:00 PM–1:00 PM *Lunch Break

The clinic will break for lunch around midday. Participants will have approximately one hour to eat, rest, and reset before the afternoon sessions begin.


1:00 PM–4:00/5:00 PM *Afternoon Clinic Sessions

After lunch, participants will return for the second part of the clinic. Dan will continue with another round of sessions, building on the work from the morning.

Participant Registration: $999
Includes Dan’s clinic fee and the host facility fee for the clinic.

Auditor Registration:
$100 per day or $250 for all three clinic days.

Additional facility costs are not included in the DDH registration price.
